time to revise frost depth tables?

Note that these temperature records only begin in 1979, which is a comically short period of time to be discussing climate related data.
from NBC reporting:
"NOAA/ Maine global temperature data goes back to 1979, but researchers say these temperature readings are comparable with data that goes back much further. They are confident this is the highest global temperature since instrumental measurements began around the 1850s."

Records are made to be broken. What was the old record attributed to?

"That included communities that aren't used to feeling such heat. In North Grenville, Ontario, the city turned ice hockey rinks into cooling centers as temperatures Wednesday hit 90 degrees."

Wow 90°! A regular catastrophe that is.

"In the news today North Grenville set a new record of 90° due to global warming. The previous record of 89°, set in 1906 was blamed on summer"

If you hit the lottery once 100 years ago, and then you start hitting the lottery every year in the last 5 years, you know that something has changed in the last 5 years compared to the previous 95 years.
