Greetings to all!

I was not sure as to which category to post this topic in, so I am

posting it in the Commercial Building Codes category, because the

topic is associated with a Commercial building application.

(NOTE: Moderators can move the topic to a different category

as you see fit.)

Application: I have an existing trash dumpster enclosure area,

for a remodeled restaurant, that has an 8 - 10 cu. yd. trash

dumpster in it. The trash dumpster enclosure also contains a

receptor to hold the used kitchen F.O.G. until it is reclaimed.

On "new construction" restaurants, we require a floor drain in

the dumpster enclosure area to catch any potential spills or

liquids coming from the dumpster itself, so as not to enter the

storm drains. Because this is a remodel project, we are trying

to assist the owner in finding some type of approved spill

containment device/system that can be placed underneath the

trash dumpster itself, rather than incurring the expense of

cutting the concrete, ..installing a floor drain and an approved

type of grease interceptor, before any liquid wastes enters

the storm drains, or the sanitary sewer system.

I have found a spill containment device for the F.O.G.

receptor (see the link), but am having a hard time finding

something large enough and durable enough to place a

dumpster on top of it.

Do any of you have input on something for a trash dumpster

spill containment device, ..preferably something non-collapsable

and very durable!

Thanks for any input!
