When providing a building lists as UL in table 506.2, meeting the requirements of 601 for that specific construction type, do we need to meet the open perimeters specified in section 507. While i don't see tabular UL triggering 507 requirements it seems as though the open perimeter is still required based on the internet, but i don't see where that trigger is in the code.

Any thoughts?

in my experience if your construction type in table 506.2 allows for Unlimited area, you do not need to meet the open perimeter requirements of 507. The requirements in 507 are to allow specific instances when you can have an unlimited area building when not allowed per the construction type / table 506.2

Thank you, thats what I was thinking, but i was letting good old google lead me awry.
Two more follow up questions. I remember from a project many years ago a building over 100,000 SF needed some sort of state approvals. might have been on the civil side, i don't recall, but figured its worth seeing if you two had any ideas. This building does not meet threshold requirements.
There was also something i recall about land disturbance over 5 acres triggering special permits or approvals. But no idea where to begin to find these requirements.

Thank you!

You have threshold, major contractor, and maybe State Traffic (OSTA) on bigger projects........Reach out to the local planner for any other land use stuff?

CT amendment 107.4 Threshold limits lists additional project requirements when a building hits certain size, height or occupant threshold. Nothing in there regarding site disturbance area.
