I got faked out by this new PVC plumbing primer on a commercial job recently:http://www.oatey.com/products/plastic-pipe-cements-and-primers/hercules-primers-cleaners/unpurple-primer-for-pvc-and-cpvc-cement

It dries clear so there is no tell-tale purple color.

But it glows purple under black light.

Did they have a black light on the job to verify, you ask?

No, but once I read the label I approved it....

Just FYI if you encounter it on your jobs.
Seems rather risky to accept at face value that it was used especially in this case where you don't have any previous knowledge of its use. Hopefully it was by a contractor that you have a long-standing good working relationship with.
