Is there a code or standard section on how much working space is required for sprinkler valves? All I could find in NFPA 13 is:

8.1.2* System valves and gauges shall be accessible for operation,
inspection, tests, and maintenance.

Is this OK?

Access is in the eye of the beholder.

As long as people can get to the valves and such to turn them on off or whatever good to go

And able to take the biggest piece out, if replacement is needed

Good to go

The picture looks like more room than normally found

Well then, it will keep a fork lift from backing into it. It doesn't look like a long handled wrench will ever be required to work on it. Yellow is the favorite color of institutionalized people.

$ ~ $

See Section 509.2 in the `15 IFC........Must be "approved access" by the FD.
We used to require a min. of a 5ft. radius around a riser.
