IRC & UPC require seismic strapping of water tanks at the upper 1/3 and lower 1/3 points. Code is pretty clear.

Anyone allow by modificaiton use of a single strap on the stubby 30 gallon ones??

Just curious.

Hope everyone is well.

I don't recall anyone ever having asked me to approve such an arrangement. Restraining 380 pounds deserves two straps. Just ask Fatboy.
