Especially when the host website does nothing about it except add a warning?

Not wanting to keep derailing another thread I posted this here. The derailment started with false statistics and information on the internet which reminded me of this.

High school children giving out false and misleading information on DIY websites that could hurt people. I will admit the above instruction has been edited a bit after real electricians left negative comments, (which have been removed).

When I contacted the website about the dangerous information they were hosting they replied the website claims to have a button as to whether the article was helpful or not. That was their only concern. I am assuming the button appears when you sign in? I was also told my "request was forwarded to the editors and deemed resolved". The Tips and Warnings section was added.

I can just see some parent praising their child for posting this helpful information.

I'll let you decide for yourself.

Scary at best, what you can read on some of these web sights.

Some time ago I posted instructions on how to clean your fire sprinklers from the same web site.
