If this forum has helped you avoid a code mistake, solve a complicated situation in the field, or just saved you time by getting a straight answer, then it has already done something valuable for you.

This forum exists because of the people who have stepped up and supported it. I started it with my own money and bankrolled it for years. Many of you, both from today and from the early days, contributed funds and became Sawhorses. That support is the only reason we are still here.

There are no corporate sponsors. There is no outside company paying the bills. This site runs on member support and the time I put in every single day to keep it running. That includes handling technical issues, managing spam, performing software upgrades, and recently moving us from Amazon servers to Google servers to improve performance and stability.

I don’t do this alone. We rely on volunteer Moderators who help keep the forum organized, respectful, and useful. I can’t do it all myself, and many of the technical issues that come up are over my head. That’s why I have to pay an IT company to step in and help with server-level problems and more complex backend work. This is not my job. I have a full-time job just like many of you, and I do this because I believe in the value of this community.

I’ve tried running this forum without ads. What happens is simple. It forces me to fund it again out of my own pocket, while still doing all the work to maintain it. Sawhorses no longer see banner ads. That is a real benefit, but it also takes away the ad revenue that helps keep the lights on. That is why we rely on those of you who understand what it takes to run something like this and choose to support it.

Some of you have been a Sawhorse since the very beginning. Some of you have been here since day one, helping turn this idea into something real. If you’ve been thinking about joining them, this is a good time to do it.
