I was re-watching a Val Kilmer classic "Willow" (a 99 cent goodwill find) with my son the other night, and recognized several Monty Pythonesque scenes that seemed to mirror Holy Grail scenes.

Attack - Runaway - Attack scene - ditto

Lobing magical artifacts (acorn) towards thy foe - holy handgrenade

The trojan horse routine for getting into the castle - trojan rabbit

catapulting large animals and people - la voche

Is this a rip-off, or an homage by steven spielberg and ron howard?

Ha! Yes! Madmartigan! If only he had a singing and dancing minstrel, aka brave sir robin.

The willow sorcere did remind me of Tim a bit too.
