So...you're a code official who's just having lunch in another jurisdiction, and you see a marked exit door which has been converted to a window - complete with blinds and a table with a view. What do you do?

a) Look the other way and enjoy your lunch
b) Ask to speak to the manager
c) Call the local fire inspector
d) Other: ______________

Depending on the city, who I am with, and if other exits are avaiable

Normally would contact that city

It would more than likely not be a two minute conversation with the manager, plus if my city I woukd want to know about it

Depending on the number of occupants and exit strategy, I would contact the FM if I was confident it could wait. If I feel it's an imminent threat to the occupants, I would speak with the manager. If they don't budge, then a call goes to fire dept. Building is then evacuated while the corrections are made. Funny....I've only had to do this once....
