They appeared to be a #6awgWhat size are the conductors in the greenfield? It also looks like the flex is pulled out of the fitting a bit, but IMHO, the 12 AWG needs to be changed to 10 AWG.
Trying to rope one of my good E guys in...If we only had electrical inspectors in this forum. Wouldn't that be nice?
Hard to tell wire sizes from the picture. 50 am range #6, EGC per 250.122 = #10. Are you concerned about 250.8?
No I was wondering if that was your concern (maybe from 250.148)250.8? Are you concerned that a #10 can't be used on the box ground screw when they install it?
No sir, my concern was the reduction of EGC to a #12 from #6. when #10 is the minimum. I am now told they are going to have that circuit on a 40A breaker but that still requires a #10. The wire nut will take care of the #6 to #10 connection which is compliant providing they use a wire nut listed for those sizes. No I was wondering if that was your concern (maybe from 250.148)
110.14(A) #10 for wire binding screws.Since you brought it up....How large of a conductor can you "land" under a box ground screw? The screw is not "listed"......
