How many of you require porta-potties on site for all jobs where there is no restrooms nearby, even a demolition job?
All commercial jobs require a PP and at least one FE.
Demo's that have more than a truck driver or trac/back-hoe operator require a PP or access to an adjacent bathroom. Most trac-hoe or back-hoe operators have to have a FE for insurance reasons on their rig.
Commercial demo's where there will be additional construction on the lot will require a PP
Barricades to protect the public depends on the circumstances, protection of the roadway, sidewalk and city infrastructure require fencing and sometimes caution tape, cones, plywood etc.
Public Works Department will verify that utilities have been capped. Will require the water line to be severed to prevent the trac hoe from pulling on city water line. Sewer capped for future use.
Hot-tar roofs will require roof edge protection and a FE on roof and one near the tar rig. Access to the buildings bathrooms is normally provided.
If it is a hard hat job, everybody's got to be wearing a hard hat If I see em!
One thing I've noticed is, if the GC doesn't have a meeting telling the subs where the FE is, know one knows where the FE is located. Last project it was in the job trailer, they were afraid it was going to disappear!
