Hi, we currently have 2 small workout recreation rooms that require 1 means of egress. Both rooms which are adjacent to one another have doors into a rated corridor.

The client wants to add a door between these adjacent rooms for access between them. However, if we count both floor areas together, the 2 rooms would require 2 means of egress. The existing doors are right next to one another and would not meet the remoteness requirement.

Would adding the door b/t both rooms trigger them to be counted as a single large room?

Well. Seems like the 2740 should have two exits to begin with

I take it sprinkled building ??

The two existing doors are not 1/3 diagonal distance apart?!
