New construction:
I am working on a large unlimited area building, fully sprinkled.

IBC 907 doesn't seem to trigger a fire alarm for an S-1 use.
But S-1 does have similar fire area etc that F-1 would have if it was not sprinkled.
If S-1 have similar fire area and sprinkler requirements why does it not have similar fire alarm requirements.
As far as i can tell IBC does not require fire alarm for S-1 use, but just wanted to make sure i am not missing anything.

Also its for a garbage facility, and they will have some tall piles so it looks like it will have some high pile storage. i went through that area and see those requirements, but again don't see a trigger for fire alarm.

Why would F-1 have fire alarm requirements but not S-1???

"The requirements mandating a fire alarm system are typically not applied based on the fire area concept. Manual fire alarm systems are most often required based on the occupant load of the occupancy group under consideration, including any occupants of the same occupancy classification that may be identified in another fire area.

Factories similar to several other occupancies, the alarm system is necessary where there are very large occupant loads and where those occupants must travel vertically to exit."
