Our main benefactor JAR will be out of pocket for the forseeable future, I have been informed he was is a motorcyle accident, and is in the hospital. Not life threatenting, but some serious injuries that have him staying there for a while, and will be off line. That is all I know at this time, keep him in your prayersI

Was this as bad as the chopper crash?

Hope you get well soon!

Just think of all the contractors that are getting away with stuff!o_O

Thank you folks. Yes, 5 broken ribs, a broken scapula and a collapsed lung, all on the right side with lots of soft tissue damage on my right shoulder and tricep. Chest tube was taken out yesterday and I was released this afternoon. I have some meds to take while I heal. I refused any and all narcotics because I wanted to see how I was progressing so Ibuprofen, nerve pill and muscle relaxer seemed to do the trick.

At home resting but of course responding to work email like an idiot. It was only a 25mph crash. My helmet is trash now.

Again, thank yoiu for your online well wishes. Even from the Romex King himself.

Glad to hear you are at home, and able to rest comfortably!

Yes, painful to watch.

When I had new rubber put on the front and back of my Fatboy, fortunately the staff warned me that they are slick until broke it for a while. Even knowing that, I still had a few squirelly moments that made my heart skip a beat or two!

Thankes for sharing!

Definitely needed to be scrubbed. That was your first right hand corner.
Did you have the ABS turned off?
"they lack sharpness and have more travel on the lever" Cycle World test ride. https://www.cycleworld.com/motorcycle-reviews/triumph-scrambler-400-x-review/
More travel on the front lever may have felt like the brake was not as responsive as what you are used to in your other bikes. In that Nano second your muscle memory from the other rides probably kicked in looking for the same resistance to your fingers as you are use too.

One more thought, is the front tire installed in the correct rotational direction?

I had a collapsed lung a few years ago. They inserted the suction tube without anesthesia -- it gave me an entirely new perspective of what ten is when they ask you to rate pain on a scale of one to ten.

Here, you get smiley faces!

One face looked like my mother-in-law, It had jello on it, after she left.
