Ledgers attached to fire rated walls.....

I don't like the idea of through face attaching a ledger with hangers for floor assemblies to the face of sheetrock.
For 1 hour rated walls my latest understanding is that I would need to attach through the sheetrock (1 layer) and for 2 hours would need to attach directly to the the face of 2 layers of gyp into the studs.

Is there any way of getting around these connection details? is this really how it would be done to meet code.

If the roof/ceiling does not require fire rating, you just demo the existing gyp board from the walls, install the ledger/structural systems per your engineer's drawings, and then extend the gyp board and blocking to the bottom of structure per the wall details.

It is not common practice to install ledgers against drywall. Most engineers would not want that condition.
