Hi all-
I have a small restaurant with an entry door and a back exit door.
The client does not want the back exit door to be a second exit. so the kitchen can be larger.
The dining area is 600sf /15 = 40 occupants.
The kitchen is 600sf/200 = 3 occupants.
we have a small retail/merch area: 120 sf / 30 = 4 occupants. (is 30 the correct factor to use? Mercantile on grade)
so far 47 occupants total, under 50 so only 1 exit requried.
however, i did not count the entry area in front of the door, about 50 sf. what would the occupant load factor be for circulation?
thanks in advance
