Pool below deck

If its raised, little Johnny is going to have a harder time jumping over it with his buds.
 
I say no....I don't love it, and i would take a real close look at it.....But I do not think that deck is part of the pool barrier...
 
If there are alarms on any doors that lead to the raised deck and no gates leading to the street from the raised deck that do not meet barrier requirements....then no the deck guard rail is not required to be a pool barrier.
 
That deck looks like it's built to code, good job inspector Rick!

Need a dive platform and some water in the pool.:cool:
