In a large fully sprinkled building I have a pool area on the second floor. The area has 3 exit access doors. The DP has calculated the means of egress sizing with a .3 factor. The exception to 1005.3.1 allows .2 as the factor if the building is equipped with sprinklers AND an emergency/voice alarm system. IF the building has this alarm system, and the entire building is fully sprinklered to the extent physically possible (the open air pool and deck has no ceiling on which to place sprinklers), could not the .2 factor be used?
