Does anyone know if the spatial separation and limiting distance apply to rear yard garden suites between the garden suite and the main house? (I'm in Ontario). In part 3 this is normal to do between buildings on the same lot however garden suites in the rear yard of a house are under part 9 which doesn't seem to cover this yet. Anyone have experience with this? I feel it should apply however I also feel if it does, no modern subdivision would ever meet the requirements as the rear is usually the only place for substantial glazing due to narrow lots.
