Looks easy compared to a canoe portage in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Is this where "Fall Between the Cracks" comes from?
You would have to be a Gymnast to climb these.
Coming down, is even more daunting

A "Jersey Guy" would certainly understand being Up A Creek Without a Paddle!Looks easy compared to a canoe portage in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
Agree. Though I doubt this or many of the others posted are in the US or Canada. This can't be Code Compliant
This one's great.
Good observation. I used one in the technical production area if a theatre once - just once - and learned fast theatre technicians hate them. Easier to carry a toolbox or spotlight up and down a ladder than an alternating tread device. They are awkward, even empty handed. That's an innovative variation of a classic alternating-tread stair, which is still allowed under certain circumstances.
Alternating tread stairs were fairly common in early New England houses. They save floor space.

my "take " on that longstanding design is it emulates a ladder more than following the "stair geometry requirementsThat's an innovative variation of a classic alternating-tread stair, which is still allowed under certain circumstances.

Agreed, except with the thread being wider, you need the 16 plus inch height so your toe doesn't catch on the way upYes, extremely awkward. IMHO a ship's ladder is better in most applications, if allowed.
Nice Plant Shelves!!Another. At least it's illuminated.
