This ramp was constructed for one movie stunt. You can see the actor and the motorcycle in the upper left of the photo. The extent of that ramp for one stunt is surprising.

Migrants being smuggled accross the English Channel. The trip is 150 miles. It costs extra for a life vest.

There's a news article about a similar group where the boat was too crowded and a fight broke out. The smugglers tossed twelve people, including women, overboard. They were two miles from France and were rescued.

For the amount of money that these smugglers take in you would think that they could afford a decent boat.... perhaps they go cheap on the boat and fly back to France.
